1. God owns all of it – you are only a steward
The mission of our Church is to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked.
2. Impacts the local church (Malachi 3:10 / Romans 12:13)
As Jesus Christ works in and through us to fulfill our mission and pursue our vision, we expect to see results in three areas: Community Transformation, New Church Formation, Next Generation Empowerment.
3. Reflects a dependency on God and breaks the grip of materialism (Luke 16:13 / Matthew 6:24)
Giving is an act of trust. Our stuff is to daily bow down to God’s will and plan. If we don’t learn generosity, we end up serving our stuff and serving our money; often chasing possessions and money rather than God. Jesus wants to make sure your money doesn’t have you – but that He has you.
